Mad Hatter's Tea Party

With this piece i took the canvas and after drawing out the leaves and Alice, i cut out the middle of it to give the framed effect to it. I then painted that with acrylic paints and left to dry for a few days. I then painted the tea party scene on the canvas board with oil paints and used lots of bright colours to show the scene and to make an impact. once that was finished and dried, i screwed the board onto the back of the canvas so it gave the impression of Alice looking into the scene, to give a more 3D looking effect. I quite like this idea, and after finishing it thought about how i could use this same idea but maybe create a variety of scenes which could be changed over to fit onto the back of the canvas, to show more of a story.
